Sweet PDO Pecorino Sardo

Pecorino Sardo Dolce is cylindrical in shape, with flat sides and a straight or slightly convex heel; the rind is smooth and thin, and the cheese is white or pale straw-colored. The paste is white, soft, compact or with few eyes, with a sweet and aromatic taste. The cheese is matured for 20 to 60 days and weighs about 2 kg.

 

All forms of Pecorino Sardo DOP Dolce are released for consumption with the mark of the denomination in a radial pattern and a numbered stamp that uniquely identifies each form: the green stamp distinguishes the forms of Pecorino Sardo Dolce.
