History

In 1936, the Catellani brothers moved, with the whole family, to a farm in Cavriago, in the province of Reggio Emilia. Here they dedicated themselves to breeding about ten head of the Reggio Emilia breed, the Red Cows, which the family continues to breed today.

Parmigiano Reggiano delle Vacche Rosse is a cheese that even after long maturing maintains a sweet, delicate and persistent flavour. Characteristic are the straw-yellow colour, the elasticity of the grain, the intense but delicate aroma even after thirty months of maturing.

Territory

Grana d'oro is located in Cavriago, in the province of Reggio Emilia, in the heart of Emilia Romagna. It is a flat area at the foot of the hills, enriched by the historical tradition of permanent meadows, a heritage of biodiversity handed down over the centuries.
