Consorzio Gourm.it obtained the status of Authorised Economic Operator (A.E.O.) in March 2023.
In order to obtain the A.E.O. status issued by the Customs Agency, Consorzio Gourm.it had to demonstrate that it operates in compliance with customs and tax regulations and in the absence of criminal offences, that it has an effective system for managing commercial documents and transport, that it guarantees financial solvency, that it has adequate practical standards of competence and professional qualifications, and that it has adequate security standards.
The criteria for obtaining Authorised Economic Operator status are assessed taking into account the nature of the economic operator, its size and its role in the international supply chain. The in-depth assessment carried out by the Customs Agency also takes into account other characteristics such as the size and complexity of the activities carried out and the type of goods handled. The economic operator is not obliged to become an Authorised Economic Operator: this was a voluntary strategic corporate choice of Consorzio Gourm.it, born from the desire to increasingly refine its specialisation towards exports. The recognition of the AEO status allows Consorzio Gourm.it to benefit from direct and indirect advantages and facilities related to customs operations.
Achieving the AEO status is a result that Consorzio Gourm.it has been striving for and, thanks to the AEO status, it is increasingly seen by its suppliers and customers as an export facilitator and a guarantee of fast, accurate and secure procedures.
